Updated List of Who Sucks!

January 16, 2008

I’ve got a page somewhere on the blog about who I can’t stand. Angelina Jolie is at the top of that list and shall remain there! Here are some more people that just irk me:

  • Kristin Bell still annoys the crap out of me
  • Chris Daughtry (whom I couldn’t stand after he started acting like a spoiled brat on Idol) had the following to say:

Today, Chris Daughtry told Rolling Stone that AI is “lacking some credibility” and “probably isn’t gonna last too much longer,”

as reported on Watch with Kristin. Hmm interesting considering without American Idol he wouldn’t be where he is today. If they hadn’t beat his stupid “I’m going home” song to death last season would it have been as popular? I think not! What a punk he is.

I think that’s it for right now.  I’m sure I’ll find others though.

The Writer’s Strike

January 16, 2008

Is it just me or are the writer’s getting a little too big for their britches? Now they’ve decided that they won’t give the grammies a pass which shouldn’t really effect the show, however people like Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Alicia Keys are in the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) which is supporting the Writer’s Guild (WGA) so they may not show up. Ok, so I don’t care about them that much but a lot of people do. Will people watch? I will because I’m sick of the writer’s. Their big cause is great and all but I don’t think they realize just how fickle the tv viewing public is these days. Let’s not even mention the number of people this strike is sending into poverty that have nothing to do with getting the additional money the writer’s want.

I’m over it. Keep striking long enough and I’ll stop watching the majority of television all together. I can exist quite happily on The Amazing Race, American Idol and the wonderful productions of Jane Austen on Masterpiece Theatre. Plus lets not forget that most of tv SUCKS these days anyway. There are some stand outs like Big Bang Theory, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Reno 911!, Carpoolers etc. that I enjoy, but I’m guessing catching up on my reading and doing crossword puzzles will be just as entertaining!
